Head of Change and Reform Parliamentary Bloc, MP Michel Aoun, stated today, following a meeting by Bloc members in Rabieh, that they do not wish to demand a "third veto" power but rather are calling for "rational representation" within a new government of national unity.
MP Aoun welcomed MP Saad Hariri's joining of the Understanding existing between the Reform and Change Bloc and Hizbollah. Aoun called officially herein on Hariri to commit to the Agreement speech, thereby paving the way for forming a bloc that would look into other matters as well.
Aoun also touched on the issue of Palestinian implantation, whereby he indicated that when the matter was proposed on the "table of dialogue", some deputies considered bringing up the subject as being a means of creating fears and worries. However, the same deputies have themselves begun warning against implantation, in the wake of the elections.
Regarding the parliamentary elections, Aoun considered that the international monitors who came to observe the elections actually came to monitor the implementation of a plan instead of said elections.
